Cosby came to us from Barbara Hackel of Kimark
Shelties. Barbara described him as
"silly" . Others might use the term "wild and crazy
guy" Either way he has been a ball to deal with. Everything he
does, he does with complete abandon and enthusiasm as evidenced by the
following.
Cosby has been working in Obedience as well as Agility. He has also been dabbling
in Conformation and on April 27, 2003 he earned his Canadian
Championship.

There is no halfway with Cosby. When he is quiet he is practically
motionless and when it is time to go he starts bouncing like a ping pong
ball in a windstorm. He is currently working in obedience,
conformation and agility. He thoroughly enjoys them all. There is
nothing he likes more than attention and he makes every effort to get it
it at all times. On those rare times when he and I can focus on the same
thing at the same time, the results are exceptional. Those times are now
coming with increasing frequency. I suspect he and Borgy are going to
have some interesting competitions as time goes by.
Cosby went through a bout with lyme disease and it slowed down his
progress a great deal. He had a recurrent limp that would come and go.
We stopped showing him in obedience for a while because the long sits
were too uncomfortable for him. As he began to get better we started
running him in preferred classes so he could jump the lower heights. He
got his Excellent titles in preferred and has recently gone back to
regular where he now runs in Excellent A Standard and Excellent B JWW
in AKC and runs in Excellent in CKC.
Cosby is now 9 years old. He has his CDX and has just started working
on Utility and has four RAE legs.
